Autumn in Nepal 2023

In October Suzi and Adrian flew out to Kathmandu to walk a trek into the Tsum Valley and around Manaslu.

After a couple of days looking around the city with an excellent guide, learning about the Budhist and Hindu belief systems, we were driven on rough tracks to the start of our trek. We started up the Manaslu valley before turning into the very Budhist Tsum Valley which we explored for the next week or so.

After a fascinating ascent to Mu Gompa at 3500m, seeing fields farmed as they would have been in Medieval Britain, we returned to the main Manaslu valley to slowly ascend to the foot of the mountain and then towards the Larke Pass.

Falmouth to Plymouth trek. Summer 2023

So this summer Suzanne and I wanted to get fit ready for our Autumn Odyssey in Nepal, so we decided to

catch a train to Falmouth and walk the South West Coast Path to Plymouth. It was imperative to reach Falmouth in time for the last ferry to St Anthony.

We then had an evening and five days to reach Plymouth to catch an evening train home.

This walk is best done in summer when all the relevant ferries are running, and its about 75 miles.

We were wild camping on the clifftops where we could, and mainly used cafes and pubs for our food.
