Navigation Courses on Dartmoor
National Navigation Award Scheme bronze courses:
These are 2 day courses running from 10.00 hrs until 17.00hrs each day, covering the basics of grid references, scales and symbols, map orientation, hand-railing features, and introducing the compass.
Cost will be £50 per person with a maximum group size of four.
Dates: Weds 13th and Thurs 14th January 2010
National Navigation Award Scheme silver courses:
These are 2 day courses running from 10.00 hrs until 17.00hrs each day, suited to people who have done a little navigating but wish to progress to a more competent level. It will look at route planning, a variety of compass techniques, relocation when “lost”, judging distance and more.
Cost will be £50 per person with a maximum group size of four.
Dates: Tues 19th and Weds 20th January 2010
Other course dates can be arranged for small groups.
